REPTX TESTING THE FUTURE OF SHIPBOARD REPAIR

REPTX, the Navy’s Repair Technology Exercise, brought together government, industry, and academic partners to test emerging maintenance and repair technologies in realistic shipboard conditions. Conducted aboard NSWC Port Hueneme Division’s Self Defense Test Ship, the event evaluated more than 60 technologies designed to help sailors inspect, assess, manufacture, and repair critical systems while deployed.

Through pier-side and underway scenarios, REPTX demonstrated how visualization tools, command-and-control aids, forward manufacturing, and expeditionary maintenance solutions can improve fleet self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on shore-based repair infrastructure. The exercise provided a practical proving ground for technologies that could accelerate maintenance at the point of need, increase operational availability, and support a more resilient Navy fleet.
